I suspect I'll attract abuse for suggesting this, but your descriptions of conspiracy theories seem to echo my own ideas about most religions.

It's such a shame the USA doesn't have a National Health Service like the UK, where there is no fee involved, no profit made, by dealing with illness or accident. We have some problems with the NHS, largely because Conservative governments have failed to fund it properly for the past few decades, but it is still a much better system than the elitist private service propped up by insurance companies as in the US. I was sorry and moved to read about your loss, Denise, but I was also angry that profit is still the driver for health services in your land.

While I understand everything you say here and agree with most of it, I would argue that there are some on social media who, as writers, also wish to educate fellow scribes. It's not so much what is done as how it is done, I think. Correction can be applied in a sympathetic and non-aggressive manner. I know I have learned a great deal about language and grammar during my 70 odd years of writing, and I'd hate to think those opportunities to learn might be denied others simply because of a fear of offending those looking to be offended.

The misogyny is deeply written into the very fabric of all the Abrahamic religions through the ludicrous myth of Eve and the fruit of the tree of the knowledge. That tale, clearly invented by inferior men as a means of subjugating women, is still pedalled by so many pastors, priests, and imams that it inevitably infects the minds of boys and girls who later carry it into their adult lives without ever understanding it lies there, controlling their thoughts, actions and emotions.

As a sci-fi author, I imagined the potential outcomes of an AI system devised to control the environment on a newly-colonised Mars settlement.
