I’m going to skip right over the whole Kamala Harris portion, I agree with all of that entirely, but can’t muster any real concern about hypothetical future developments in the scripted plot lines of our korporate kabuki theater government. Instead, I have to respond to your reflexive embrace of this commonly held belief that Trump is genuinely at “war” with the entire corporate deep state power structure.
Why is it that you still cling to the idea that Trump is an independent rogue agent at odds with the neocon “establishment”, Caitlin? There certainly is an incessant barrage of bullshit in the corporate media designed to nurture that impression, so I guess it is small wonder that so many fall for it, but haven’t you noticed the mountain of evidence that contradicts it?
I know you are aware of the fact that our elections in the US are utterly fraudulent, and that this is being covered up with the active collusion of both major parties and the corporate media. But do you get who is really controlling this? They have been using a confusing array of methods to achieve their ends, including many different voter suppression tactics implemented by both parties. But in the end all of these different methods of fraud end up being a cover for the ultimate system of election rigging, which is the secret proprietary corporate owned “fractionalized vote counting” software used not just in the touch screen voting machines, but also in the central tabulators and optical scanners that count our paper ballots in almost every precinct in the US. http://blackboxvoting.org/fraction-magic-1/
You and most of your readers understand that the two party system is a complete sham, and both parties serve the same corporate masters anyway, but a lot of people apparently still buy into this notion that there is some sort of genuine power struggle going on between the parties in various ways, including “competitive” election rigging. But let’s not kid ourselves about this — there is simply no way in hell that the corporate powers that be are going to leave the ultimate decisions on rigging of presidential elections up to low level party operatives. Whatever role played by party operatives in this (and they obviously do play a role) is without a doubt dictated higher up the chain of deep state command.
Have you ever heard of the Domestic Security Alliance Council (DSAC)? Have a look at this description of them on the link below that starts on page 24, this is quite an eye opener — these are the fine folks that select our presidents. They control the gate to the oval office, which means that every president is their rent boy, by definition — at least until they finally decide to put a rent girl in there. https://cryptome.org/2016/08/deep-politics-rev4.pdf
Trump has been on “their” side from the day he was born, for the simple reason that his daddy was one of them. You can find plenty of evidence that Donny boy has been rubbing elbows and hobnobbing with the slimier elements of the deep state underworld for decades. Here is a link detailing some of that history…take note of who some of these people are, who they are associated with, and the activities they have been implicated in: http://aanirfan.blogspot.com/2016/05/trump-clinton-jewish-mafia-cia-sex-rings.html
Similarly, look at the backgrounds of the key members of this administration that we are meant to believe are “pro Russian” — Flynn, Tillerson, and Sessions in particular. These guys are all long standing, high level, corporate deep state, neocon team players — with backgrounds in in the Pentagon, Big Oil, and the corporate co-opted congress, respectively. Look at who they have been for decades, the milieu they come from, and the way in which that corporate power culture inevitably enforces an absolute loyalty to an orthodox neoliberal/neocon worldview, regardless of party affiliation.
Yet, for some bizarre and as yet unexplained reason, we are being led to believe that Trump and these other characters have all more or less simultaneously dropped their life long loyalties to the corporate empire, and turned in unison to embrace the outlandish notion of “cooperation” with the one state that has been and continues to be the principle global adversary of the power structure they have served for their entire lives! And nobody is asking WTF is up with that?
Beyond that, there is the little matter of what these clowns have actually been doing on the world stage since Trump took office that has been so profoundly hostile to Russia, in contrast to what some of them have been saying about wanting to “cooperate” with them. I’m glad to see you taking note of the effects of these actions, and are pointing out that we have been right on the brink of nuclear war with Russia for the past 3 or 4 months. But it seems that the effects of this mass media perception management program are very hard to fully resist, as is evidenced by this persistence in looking for signs that Trump should even now be taken at his word about wanting to “cooperate” with Russia.
Considering all of that, there are other far more logical interpretations of this announcement that the US will henceforth cease funding their terrorist proxy forces trying to overthrow the current Syrian government. “Cooperation” with Russia simply doesn’t hold air.
The first thing to keep in mind here is that these bastards lie through their teeth on a regular basis, as most people know quite well. It is curious that they should make this announcement at all, and make the official revelation that they have been funding these groups all along (as some of us have been pointing out, but were ridiculed as “conspiracy theorists”). But why on earth should we take them at their word? Especially when we can see so many other aspects of their relentless efforts to manipulate our opinions and perception of what is going on around us, why shouldn’t we look for the head fake with this as well? Myself, I take it as a given that virtually everything they tell us is misinformation, even if the purpose isn’t immediately apparent — and experience bears this out.
There are a few possible explanations that should be considered. One is that Russia has very radically altered the rules of the game with NATO in Syria over the past several months. Putin has behaved with remarkable restraint against a series of extreme provocations from the western vassal states corporate empire, but he has nonetheless radically shifted the balance of power within Syria, backed up with a nuclear trip wire that does not get mentioned very often. Russia almost certainly has nukes in Syria, on their naval vessels and probably tactical nukes on other delivery systems. And, as everyone here knows, they now has their most advanced anti air missile systems in Syria, and have taken complete control of Syrian airspace. I don’t think there will be many, if any, further incidents of US, NATO, or Israeli aircraft attacking Syrian forces in Syrian territory.
So Russia and Syria control the air now, which means that they can attack the western backed terrorist militias at will. The forces of the corporate empire will no longer be able to fly ground support strikes to protect them, at least not without dire risk of the loss of aircraft, as well as the danger of escalation such an incident would represent. This is a game changer, and the western generals know this perfectly well.
So, one interpretation is that, IF this announcement is genuine, it is simply an acknowledgement of the reality they are faced with — their project to overthrow Assad is now pretty much doomed. Their militias are getting their asses kicked soundly on all fronts, and there is no way they can prevail when their opponents effectively have complete air superiority, short of a massive ground and air invasion that would almost certainly trigger nuclear war.
So it is possible that they have admitted defeat in their efforts to overthrow Assad, or perhaps they have decided to merely make a strategic and temporary retreat on this front. It could also simply be that they will continue the existing effort by shifting more of the funding to the terrorist militias to other vassal states. My guess is the latter of these scenarios, tempered by a realistic acceptance of the probability that it isn’t likely to succeed.
Regardless of this matter of continued funding of their proxy armies, we can be sure that the areas in the north and East of Syria that the empire has taken possession of will not be relinquished. This territory is the most crucial to the west, they have planned for years for this to be the eastern segment of the southern gas and oil pipeline route from the the Gulf region to the Mediterranean and Europe. This is plan B — the de facto partitioning of Syria, with a pliable Kurdish puppet regime in place in that stolen territory.
