There‘s a lot to cover there so I’ll write a full post answering this, but first a few questions:

  1. Is there any way you could pay for or get your parents to pay for a membership?
  2. Do you have any lifting experience?

Anyway, about your calf, I can answer that now. I’m guessing you’re talking about a muscle tear or something like that and not a debilitating injury. Regardless, you should absolutely start doing upper body workouts as soon as you can, and if your calf has healed by now, you can cautiously do lower body workouts. But avoid isolation exercises (like calf raises) until the pain in your calf is gone. :)
