DAY 4 | KINGDOM WORKERS SPEAK OUT

Can you believe that it’s day four already? We can’t either!
Time has flown by but the memories that have been made will live on.

Today we’ll begin preparing students for what happens when they head back home. The pressures of life at home + Evil forces will try to drown out God’s rhythm that they fought so hard to find this week, but Kingdom Workers cannot be silenced!

The enemy’s best tactic is to attack us with the noise of worry, jealousy, depression, fear, addiction, or anything else that drowns out God’s rhythm of love in our lives… Take a moment to open up your Bible and refresh yourself with the specific tools God has given us and how we can best utilize them.

Ephesians 6:10–12 (NLT)
A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

2 Corinthians 10:3–5
1 Timothy 6:11–12

REFLECT HERE
Once you have read through the passage, think about how each piece of the Armor of God plays a specific role in our constant battle with the devil.

Being a parent, you understand that one of your duties is to protect your children. When they were babies you held them tight, and when they were children you checked under their beds for monsters. However, you can’t protect them from everything, and that’s not your fault. There are some things that are out of our control, but don’t lose heart! Never forget that we worship an omnipotent (all powerful), omniscient (all knowing) and omnipresent (all present) God who loves us more than anything.

Our God has given us the tools to shout out. Kingdom Workers cannot be silenced! Satan will try his hardest to silence our encouragement towards others, he will try to keep us from telling others about what Christ did for us, and he will do everything in his power to hinder us from crying out to God.

- What fears, worries, or addictions drown out God’s love and peace in your life?
 [Read 1 John 4:18; 1 Peter 5:7; 2 Corinthians 12:10; Galatians 5:1]
- Think of a time you refused to stay silent and spoke out for something you believed in?
- When have you seen your student speak out for something they believe in?
- How can you encourage them to do that with their faith?

PRAY HERE
Here a few ways you can be praying for your child today:

1. Pray for your student to see how Satan seeks to silence them in different areas of their life (Psalm 27:1).

2. Pray your student will find strength in the Lord this week and will feel empowered to shout out (Psalm 138:3)!

3. Pray that your student will begin to put on the Armor of God permanently rather than just in certain circumstances (Ephesians 6:11).

Thank you for allowing us to partner with you to prepare your child for the world and what is to come. We appreciate all of your support. We want you to know that we are praying with & for you. This is our prayer for you today:

Dear Father, please be with these parents as they begin to get ready for their child to come home. We pray that true change has started in the hearts and minds of these students and that this change will continue and intensify once they get home. Lord, we pray that these parents continue leading in a way that emulates how you want us to live. In your name we shout out your praises and glory! Amen.”
