This isn’t about the pace builds are released at, Insider Previews themselves have nothing to do with the issue I’m pointing at here. Whether or not there is place for numbers, charts and in-depth articles: why would there not be? Because, again, that’s what the Windows Insider Program was initially about, that’s what Microsoft told us 3 years ago.
For the Insiders4Good project, are you sure that’s what it is about? Yes, it is about making a difference in the real world, but last time I check, we’re not testing Minecraft (which is one of the (many) major things of this program). Have you ever read the blog of the Insider4Good program? I have. Solar Power is, last time I checked, not a feature of Windows. This isn’t just a Windows thing, let alone a Windows Insider thing. It goes far beyond the Insider Program, which begs the question why it is part of it, as if it isn’t big enough on its own. Having said that, it feels like you didn’t even read all the way through.
Especially since I already did make the case in this story that indeed a website was previously announced. And it is just sad to see this come up only 3 years into the program. So let me examine my participation level: I’d argue that it is quiet high (you are aware of which website this blog is part of, right?) and I was there for all of the streams (with 1 exception, sadly).
And finally. “Trying to generate a buzz and controversy”? Because I’m talking about this on Medium? As part of ChangeWindows, a website I specifically built to provide info on Windows? This is pretty much the place for this thing. But apparently, you think not, so may I ask where else I should have posted this? In the Feedback Hub? That would have been 11 individual pieces of feedback that you would need to read though to get the full story. The Feedback Hub isn’t really a place to go into discussion with others. It has a comment section, but that is it. Which, once again, kinda proves my point.
