How to Define Success
Julie Zhuo

Thanks for sharing. I was ask not long ago if I was successful running my design studio, which started a similar questioning for me.

Granted I am not the best designer in my profession. Granted I am not famous nor rich. But what I realized is that I do the work I enjoy doing, we have enough money to live comfortably without any owing or debt. I live in one of the most beautiful part of the world, which provide us with a pure natural environment for us to live and for my daughter to live near nature. The ratio stress/happiness is pretty well balanced.

So I concluded that yes I am successful, even if that success is probably not what a lot of people would define as success. I think it’s important to define for oneself what is success and not to look for outside recognition about our own success.
