Competent User-Has a general command over the English language with some misunderstandings, inappropriateness and inaccuracies. Can use and also understand complex language to a fair extent in certain cases

Modest User- Has just partial command over the English Language able to cope with the whole meaning. However, makes mistakes but able to manage basic communication in some places.

Limited User- Competence in the English language is limited only to some cases. Has communication and expression problems- cannot use complex language.

Extremely Limited User-Conveys and understands only the general meaning in some familiar cases. There are however frequent breakdowns in communication in some cases.

Intermittent User-Here no real communication is possible. The user has basic information and knows a few isolated words or short sentences to be used in a few cases. Has faces difficulties in understanding written and spoken English

Non-User-Has no ability to use the English Language and only has the knowledge of a few words

Did Not Attempt The Test- Here no information was provided by the candidate to be assessed
