Granola, My Way
Granola is super easily available, but very often, it is loaded with sugars.
I like making mine at home, as it is super super simple, and not time consuming. Also, it is super easy to create your own versions — so, literally, the sky is the limit.
Im am giving you a basic recipe, one that you can use to create your own special version. Look at this recipe by Gordon Ramsay for inspiration or here, by Pick Up Limes.

Recipe:
- 2–3 cups old fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup maple syrup or honey
- 2 tbsp sugar (optional)
- 1/4 cup orange juice — optional
- 2 tbsp oil — coconut/ olive/ avocado — tasteless oil
- 1 tsp salt
- Seasoning — cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla — whatever you like
- 1/2 cup seeds of choice — Sunflower, pumpkin. (optional)
- 2/3 cups nut of choice — walnut, pistachio, pecan, almond bits
- 2/3 cups dried fruits of choice, dehydrated fruits or chocolate bits

Instructions
- Heat up the oven to 350F
- In a large bowl, mix all ingredients except the dried fruits, chocolate chips.
- Line a sheet pan with parchment paper, and pour the oats mixture on the tray.
- Bake for 20 mins. At 10 mins, remove the tray and toss the oats a little.
- Once the oats are a golden color, remove from the oven. Toss it well while it is still hot.
- Once it is mostly cooled down, Add the dried fruits or chocolate chip (only when it is completely cool). Tada.. you are done
- Store in an airtight container.
- It makes a great gift too.
I like to have granola with plain yogurt, but, to amp up the flavors. or to give it a super brunchy feel, add some fruit compote to the yogurt and a few drops of maple syrup/ honey, and more fresh fruits. Chia is always a great addition.
