The plot of the classic and creative tale “Where the Wild Things Are” centers on the exploits of a little boy named Max. The story opens in Max’s bedroom, where he is dressed as a wolf and acting erratically. He chases the family dog with a fork and causes trouble. When his mother refers to him as a “wild thing,” Max threatens to eat her.

Due to his actions, Max’s mother sends him to bed without dinner; as a result, Max feels angry and alone. He starts letting his mind run wild when alone in his room. Max’s dream includes an ocean, and his room abruptly changes into a thick forest. Max embarks on a sea voyage on a little boat amid his newly discovered wildness.

Max travels a long way to reach a mystery island populated by giant, terrifying beings known as the “Wild Things.” These hybrids of humans and animals are as uncontrolled and untamed as Max’s imagination. Max uses a magical way to subdue them despite their scary appearance: he stares into their yellow eyes without blinking and declares himself king…
