Roberto “Mazino” Rivas has joined Leviatán, continuing the teams rebuild before VCT Americas.

Mazino joins the team from KRÜ Esports, where he spent his career up until this point. Under the KRÜ title, Mazino and the team managed to attend every international event to date collecting shocking results like top eight at Masters: Berlin 2021 and top four at Champions 2021. 2022 on the other hand did not provide the same results. While they were still a top contender in the Latin American region, their success on the international stage dwindled. They went on to be eliminated in the group stage at every event with their furthest placement being top 10 at Masters: Copenhagen 2022. Shortly after Champions 2022, it was announced KRÜ would be one of two Latin American representatives in the America’s league and since have released Angelo “keznit” Mori , Joaquin “delz1k” Espinoza and Mazino.

Leviatán on the other hand had a strong 2022. Altough they placed second to KRÜ all year in regional events, they finally got revenge and beat the team in a 3–0 order to qualify them for Masters: Copenhagen 2022. While they suffered a group stage exit at Copenhagen, they gained enough points through solid placements in the year to qualify for Champions 2022. At Champions Leviatán made a dream group stage run defeating Team Liquid and Paper Rex in a back to back series to qualify them for playoffs as the top seed in group A. Unfortunately, they could not replicate the success losing back to back 2–0’s at the hands of LOUD and FunPlus Phoenix.

After champions, Leviatán would go on to move Benjamín “adverso” Poblete and Marco “Melser” Eliot Machuca Amaro to the bench where they would make room for eventual signings in Mazino and Agustin “nzr” Ibarra. While the team now has a complete roster, they still have yet to sign a sixth man, it has been rumored that the team will pick up another ex-KRÜ star by the name of Angelo “keznit” Mori.

The Leviatán roster is currently:

  • Vicente “Tacolilla” Compagnon
  • Francisco “kiNgg” Aravena
  • Agustin “nzr” Ibarra
  • Fabian “Shyy” Usnayo
  • Roberto Mazino Rivas
  • Rodrigo “Onur” Dalmagro (Coach)
  • Martin “BeTony” Bourre (Assistant Coach)
