I am writing a book about dogs. I have decided to illustrate it myself. Let us take a look at how simple changes in how we draw some lines can bring about a great difference in expression.

This looks so two-dimensional but we can make it face front, down, or even up.

We now try to make the light source to come from the left.

We next make the nose point up.

We next draw a nose where the light comes from the bottom.

Hence, the summary is the direction that shines the light has the maximum number of white circles.

A similar concept applies to the eyes.

Now let us make the doggie face right, left, top, and bottom using only the white circles.

The doggie looks down.

The doggie looks up and is exhausted.

The doggie looks sideways and looks scared. We will delve deeper into this topic with simple shapes. So, follow me on medium if you loved the simplicity of this illustration guide.
