Joseph Michael “Dusty” Hill (May 19, 1949 — July 27 or 28, 2021) was an American musician who was the bassist of the rock band ZZ Top. He also sang lead and backing vocals, and played keyboards.

ZZ Top bassist Dusty Hill has passed away at the age of 72-years-old, the band announced Wednesday. The announcement, signed by ZZ Top members Billy Gibbons and Frank Beard, said that Hill passed away in his sleep at his Houston, Texas home.
