Manufacture of the product or goods may be done in different places but it reaches consumers/customers mainly by retailers. But as the world moving toward digital the art of selling the product has also to be moved digital, whatever product you needed can be bought online at any time from anywhere. One of my school mates is Mohammed Niyas, his father having a retail shop in Pondy Bazar, Chennai. When he took over his Dad’s business, Niyas and I started an Instagram business Page at the start of 2018 where we sold many products like Accessories, Footwear, Handbags, Gift Articles, etc. Though initially, we struggled hard to sell the product later we were baffled by the results.

The Kanchi plaza page might now have 15.8K followers and may do a business of 2.5 Lakhs per month but for starting 2 months we failed to do get a revenue of 5k totally, we initially used to upload many product photos and was posting it randomly we were not able to sell even for Rs 100 per day, once we started to know that we are failing we dint stop over there we analyzed our mistake we framed a total strategy on what product to sell, at what time to post, to which location we have to run ad everything and then it worked.

Brands using Shopify for their e-commerce

And we are moved to the next step we built an e-commerce site using Shopify, as top brands using Shopify for their e-commerce and we can easily customize our e-commerce site and I had a great experience in creating the site, designing the UI and editing the code to get the actual output of the page we needed, this triggered my interest in learning development language.

The first day we got the revenue of 2K just with Kanchi plaza Instagram stories and we also added only less number of products as we want to kick start fast. Now we are focusing on adding multiple products and we are giving the best offer that no one can give.

As I am having previous experience working on Facebook ads and then started to learn Google Adwords and SEO and every possible strategy in increasing traffic rates for the e-commerce site. The way we are heading the marketing a result we achieved will be shared in an upcoming blog. If things go good we will be developing our e-commerce in the future.
