Movie - Dangal

The story starts with a quick recap of Mahavir Singh Phogat’s (Aamir Khan) life. He is a wrestler who gave up his dreams and wants to make his son a gold medalist. But when he loses hope of having a son, he started to train his daughters Geeta(Fatima) and Babita(Sanya) to make them ready for the gold medal.

This superlative film was directed by Nitesh Tiwari, along with Piyush Gupta, Shreyas Jain, and Nikhil Mehrotra. It is to the film’s credit that through Geeta and Babita’s wins are documented, it still manages to get the attention of the viewer to the wrestling and also bring patriotic emotions to the fore.

Music director Pritam and lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya both work very hard. Daler Mehndi’s title track, the Gilheriyaan, Hanikarak Bapu, and the Dhakaad number are perfect with the narrative.

Talking about superstars, Amir Khan is the strength, dedication, and genius of Dangal. His performance is more complex than it shows. He did great in Mahavir Singh Phoghat’s character.

Dangal has everything that one should ask from a perfect Hindi film. It’s dramatic funny serious emotional all rolled into one film. This story is so good that it will make you feel proud to be an Indian. I must recommend everyone to watch this film.
