Australia skilled Immigration programs offer Permanent Residency from the day of visa approval. It the best Immigration route overseas skilled workers to move permanently to Australia with your family. It has strict selection criteria that filter applicants on their occupation and points based system. It can be restrictive in its approach and allows only certain occupations to be eligible. But it’s also offers state and regional nomination to qualifying applicant’s to extend their scope of Australian Immigration.

There are three subclasses of skilled Immigration for Skilled professionals:

Subclass 189 Skilled Independent Visa:
This visa subclass allows qualifying individuals to directly apply for Australia Permanent Residency without having to apply for a nomination or sponsorships. Applicants with the requisite score immediately qualify and can lodge their application.

Subclass 190 — Skilled Nominated Visa:
This category of skilled Immigration allows applicants having a lesser score for the 189 subclass to claim state or territorial nomination. To avail this, they must ensure that their occupation is nominated by a state in Australia.

Skilled Regional (Provisional) Visa Subclass 489:
This is a temporary resident visa wherein candidates are to reside in the designated territory dictated by the visa regulations. Under this visa sub — type, nomination is obtained from the territory/ region in Australia or a settled relative. It is a four year permit after which applicants can be eligible to apply for a PR visa.

To be eligible on any of the Skilled Migration programs, one must:

· Score 60 points on the points test

· Be older than 18 and younger than 50 years of age

· Meet the English language requirement

· Be in an occupation must on the relevant MLTSSL list

· Have the required work experience in the nominated occupation
