Yearning to escape from this world

There is this yearning deep inside many of us. A burning desire to escape from the mundane, to escape the cages that have confined us, yearning to escape from this world. I for one, don’t want to live in this world. A world where humanity eats at itself like a flesh-eating bacteria. A world where humanity is consumed by hatred and where we conform to stupidity. Where we go through the same cycle over and over again, leading nowhere.

I want to escape from a world where wars are never-ending. This world where we are oppressed and exploited and treating humanity along with the earth around us, as a commodity. I want to escape this world of dependency. Dependency on a piece of paper with numbers that humanity sees as having more value than life itself. I want to escape from this conditioned herd mentality that has kept us divided and confined into arbitrary borders and flags.

“We are not in the least afraid of ruins. We are going to inherit the earth; there is not the slightest doubt about that. The bourgeoisie might blast and ruin its own world before it leaves the stage of history. We carry a new world here, in our hearts. That world is growing in this minute.” — Buenaventura Durruti

I feel as if I am walking in slow motion while every one is living their lives rushing past me in sonic speed. They know time is a precious commodity, but time is something they don’t value as they rush on their lives wasting every precious minute that goes by not noticing the beauty around them, not cherishing this one sole life and the very little time they really have, until it’s too late.

We go through life in an instant and in an instant, it’s gone. We grow older to see those we loved vanish away and as we grow older rushing through this life. We have grown further apart to those that we loved and so we spend very little time with them in sharing this joy and beauty of life. In the end we are left with a hallow shell looking back at the moments we shared, the what if I have done this differently. What if I truly lived. That is the question we are often left asking ourselves.

“There can be only one permanent revolution — a moral one: the regeneration of the inner man.How is this revolution to take place? Nobody knows how it will take place in humanity, but every man feels it clearly in himself. And yet in our world everybody thinks of changing humanity, and nobody thinks of changing himself.”
— Leo Tolstoy

I yearn to escape from this world. I yearn to be free from the mundane. Free from the constraints. Free from all ignorance. Now when I say that I yearn to escape from this world. Most people think I want to end my life and move on to wherever we move on to. But the reality is that I want to escape this world by creating a new world.

I walk around and look at this diluted planet that Earth has become. You see people pumping gas in the stations, walking around the supermarket, shopping in the malls and I see a void of life. As we are like hamsters in our cage running in place on that wheel going nowhere, not realizing how truly trapped we really are. Then they call this a society, a civilization. I want no part in this game we continue to play. Living under a system that exploits people. Living in this artificial redundant world that we have allowed to be created.

“I am no bird; and no net ensnares me: I am a free human being with an independent will.” ― Charlotte Brontë,

We have to strive to better ourselves, strive to better our world, but we live in a world where we are afraid of change. Afraid to move on to something better. We choose mediocrity. We know this world is a fucked up place to live in, but we just turn around and think that nothing will ever change or improve so we continue to play this game because as we say to ourselves, “this is how life is and we can’t change it”. That is where we are wrong, we can truly change this world. if we truly open our minds to its infinite capacity. If we embrace change. We must connect again as we have lost that connection. The connection to Earth and each other.

“When a man is denied the right to live the life he believes in, he has no choice but to become an outlaw.” ― Nelson Mandela

For many people, that new world is calling, we just have to reach out to each other. Soon I will escape from this world and I will create my new world, far from this society. Build a sustainable world, just like how I and many others envision it and as I describe in my blog here . Will it be perfect, no, far from it. But again, we don’t live in a perfect world. This world might be fine for you, but I feel like a world where we have to pay to live, is a world I don’t want for no one. I think capitalism is a system based on exploitation and I think we need to move on from and I believe that the land should belong to those who work it, who give back to it as we just keep taking.

I want that world where we are free from constraints and control. Where we can have communities among communities and where if you wanted to open your own little shop, you could. A world where we produce for ourselves.

We accepted a system that we were born to. It is the shackles that we just blindly accepted. I think we can adapt and evolve ourselves into a new way of being. People need to see the change and see that it could work before they plunge in. I say we have to take the plunge of life and just jump in with both feet and go where it will take you. Many might say that it is just running away from the issues at hand. But I don’t believe in fighting the old, I believe in creating the new and letting spread and maybe down the line, the next generation will be born into a better system and they will have ideas of changing it to keep improving the way we live and so that we can truly coexist as one and so that we can all truly be free!

“I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do.” ― Robert A. Heinlein

Feel free to leave any comment below. if you have that yearning and desire or if you like the current way you and everyone around you is living. Peace, love freedom
