You don’t need an inspiring story
Nothing I say is 100% true but I think I will risk saying it nevertheless. In the context of sharing experiences, we are addicted to positive stories of people materialising their dreams. I am not saying this is bad. But you don’t need it. I think a common natural trait is to tie self-worth to how the external world perceives us. Some more than others of course. And positive stories play on this because it is the overlap of effort and success perceived by others (not completely but its usually a component). Note that the person who attained their goal might not be the one sharing the story. It is not about that. To me, there is an element of results associated with inspiring stories. And results should be nothing more than a desirable side effect. So focus on what you need to do. Do it the best way you can. Get a little better while you are at it. Forget everything else. You don’t need an inspiring story. The action is enough.
