Where is my Nexus 7(2012) 4.4 update?
Yes; I have a iPhone, run Linux off my flash drive, own a Xbox, PS3,PS Vita, a Kindle, Nexus 7 ( you see the title), have a Mac Pro, and secretly uses Windows 8 on my GF’s(girlfriend for you lonely nerds) computer. There you have it. I'm really not loyal to any brand or software. I just like or should I say love tech? I love tech that works great more than anything else. Do I need all these devices? Yes! Yes; I do need all these devices. They all serve a different purpose.
However; nothing affects me more than hearing an announcement about an update and not knowing when I will receive. Google seems to do this all the time. Apple never does this to the consumer. However; it’s not always Google’s fault, right? Wrong; I have a Nexus 7 (2012 Edition). This is my first Nexus device and in most cases this would improve on kill any chance that I would buy another Android device.
However; being so tech savvy has it perks. I know I don't have to wait for the OTA (Over The Air) update. I could just download it and update my nexus using command line. Why should I? Command line to me should be used for custom or more advanced things than updating an OS. Also what about the people who want to experience the update but don’t know any command line? Who’s going to do it for them? Doesn't that command line approach delete all your apps, pics and videos? Yes; I know I should back everything up but setting a device up from a factory reset state is annoying when it’s not a new device. Loving Android but hating the update process!
