Good stuff James! In regards to “not being ready for marriage” I think that is 100% the case. The addition I would make with marriage is that its a commitment and being ready and stepping in need to be predicated on making it work when it gets tough. The same goes for a goal but a goal or habit can be more radically changed than say changing a marriage (extreme situations aside). Marriage (and fatherhood) is super hard work and being ready for it and committing to it are essential to success.
