I am very sorry that you had to go through the awfulness, pain and humiliation of being raped. I do not know your circumstances, but I don’t think men rape because they are lonely. My perspective is that They rape because they are angry. They rape because they have no empathy and respect for their victims. Normal men do not rape. Normal men have the ability to control their sexual urges and respect their partners, no matter how lonely they are. Learning how to be a caregiver would not cure a man from raping. I believe that rape is a power issue. These men have to show control or power over someone weaker because they can’t be powerful somewhere else in their own lives. Teaching boys how to respectfully react to things that make them feel powerless, teaching boys how to handle their anger and not be violent. These are ways to prevent them from becoming rapists. Also I believe that most rapists were hurt or raped themselves… or they were totally spoiled and never taught boundaries. I pray that you recover from your experience and that more people would talk about this issue so that the number of rapes would decrease. Thanks for listening..
