Perhaps you are overestimating the ‘populist’ sentiment. I guess it depends what the definition of populism is. I am confident that Clinton will address what is possible, and what can it matter whether in the first hundred days or the first 18 months. She has stated very clearly her intentions regarding Citizens United (which she has some personal stake in, since that suit was aimed at her to begin with) and she has made very clear her commitment to financial regulation as well. If her policy goals don’t meet your requirements, I suggest you work from the ground up over the long term to bring forth some candidates who are electable to the broader population, who can speak to these issues in a way that resonates with target groups. Promises sometimes are broken, for a variety of reasons, not all malign. Oaths and pledges are one thing, action and hard work are another. I would guess for the vast majority of people in America, holding on to the status quo in the midst of the turbulence we are experiencing might not seem quite as objectionable as you imagine — -they may see it as a desire to hold to our core more tightly than ever, as we have watched overt attempts to shatter it on a daily basis for some years.
Reich is so damn right, cause Clinton could get this so damn wrong
