Awesome! This is the best piece I’ve read. We have a third party in Canada and I am part of it. Guess what, even though we are the magic bullet (flawed, human, might make a mistake, but still the only Party that actually cares what happens to citizens every day), even though we are, we are still vilified, smeared, held to impossible standards and taunted for being “impure” just as you describe above. Having a third party doesn’t guarantee anything because however progressive we may be we can’t win if you don’t get behind us and help. You had Hillary, a wonderful, caring, experienced, compromiser who could/does and did get the job done, but you rejected her, hated her, vilified her, smeared her and all just because she was a woman. Until Democrats stop following where the Bernie Bots lead you will stay in the wilderness to be picked off one by one by the right.
