I’m going to Providence, RI for the first time this weekend! I’m tagging along with my bf who is going to be busy for half the day both Saturday and Sunday, so I’ll be on my own for a lot of the weekend. I’m planning to check out some museums and libraries as well as just walk around and explore/take pictures for Instagram. I’ll need lunches and probably snacks or something while I’m hanging out on my own. He’s paying for our airbnb and driving, so I’ll be buying dinner on Saturday and other treats and chipping in for gas or whatever. I’m guessing I’ll spend $100-$150, more than I would on an average weekend.

I’ve never participated in these before but I always read them! I’m not in the habit of budgeting/thinking much about these things in advance, but I want to start being better at that. I’ve been taking cash out every week to spend on the weekends and I usually just guess and withdraw anywhere from $60-$100 and use that for gas, meals, whatever, and if I don’t spend it all I hold onto it for the following week. For this weekend I’ll probably take out $200 so I don’t have to worry about it.
