This world is full of chances and opportunities. And each one of us is under this immense pressure of “DO MORE”. Unluckily, there is never enough time to chase all of these opportunities which life has given us. And we just keep thinking about planning that what we will do and what not. Even sometimes we start doing our tasks but still we do not get there, where we really expect ourselves to be. So, did you ever think despite of being indulge into work all the time why is there no result? Even though everyone around us keep on saying that keep on working, it will lead you to the stuff you really want, but still we do not see the result.

Well if we really want to achieve our dreams and we really want get our all tasks to be done than we all have to be wise and we need to choose our opportunities and tasks wisely, so we can make the most of our time. You must be thinking that how can we do that? Are we supposed to skip some from our tasks ? if yes than what those would be?

The Eisenhower Matrix is the answer to all those questions that popped up into your mind. This is technique that can help us to categorize our daily tasks into four different quadrants ans makes it easier for us to choose our tasks wisely to start out work. As the picture shows that initially we just need to make a list of urgent and important tasks with deadline and we can not afford to miss those tasks and than put those into the first quadrant, then we will make make list of tasks which are not urgent but can be planned later. After that comes not important tasks which we can delegate or avoid for the time being and put them into quadrant 3 and lastly we are supposed to make list of tasks which are not urgent and not important at same time and put them in quadrant 4.

Now its time for me to share my experience by using this technique and what i have learned from it? So i honestly used this technique for almost two days.I made list of all tasks and than divided them according the matrix. At first obviously it was difficult for me to bound my self or stick myself to some of the the tasks but gradually i was being able to go with the flow. And of course at last their was a feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment which motivated me to use this techniques more often.

By now you got the clear idea that this matrix help us to prioritize our tasks in context to make us more organized and more productive.

Even though the Eisenhower matrix can help us to categorize our tasks it isn’t certain in a way. If we fail to define our goals clearly then it becomes really difficult to determine if something is important or not.So, if you really want to implement the Eisenhower matrix then you may need to revisit your goals.
