I’m going to agree to disagree with this group as an Asian American. No I don’t fully agree with the Tiger parenting; however I am against urging the elders in the Asian community to make their own sound judgement calls on this.
I grew up in the US as a minority who has been discriminated against. THe overrepresented minority clause in Affirmative Action sans Generational Theft and social isolation wasn’t bad enough! I grew up on a DIVERSE military base. I grew up with blacks, latinos, other mixed Asians and caucasians in the military and yes the relationships were healthy. We’ve had HEALTHY relationships with church members. We have embraced blacks in sports, politics, schools, music, entertainment, sometimes business- before Affirmative Action racism.
Recently I was assaulted by a black thug with dreads, probably on PCP/meth. In Koreatown Los Angeles.
The first time I was attacked was in September 2015. By a 6'5 black thug with dreads, an accomplice and a get away car.
The people who helped me were GOOD black people. Not the Koreans. Apparently the decent Koreans left the area and either went to Irvine with Samsung or back to Korea after the garbage Rodney King Riots in 1992 that cost the innocent MODEST humble immigrants from South KOrea $400 million to their businesses. The US owes the South Koreans reparations for the damages caused to them by the Rodney King Riots.
I’m sorry, why else would elders hold that kind of prejudice against blacks?
I haven’t seen Victim’s Compensation for any of the 4 crimes I suffered in Koreatown L.A. I don’t care about anybody else’s stupid drug epidemic, it’s f*ing bull$h*t that innocent bystandards are exposed to UNNECESSARY violence due to narcotrafficking.
It’s so disgusting that a group of baby beating b*s will get off on beating someone more vulnerable and go on about “saving face” when anyone who suffered that line of abuse and exploitation as a meal ticket to the Visa Sponsor for the blood thirsty backstabbing sycophants.
But the Koreans can’t defend the babies they beat?
Speak for yourself when you support Black Lives Matters.
The only time I’m going to embrace discussions regarding race relations is in Church, where people are not violent because they’re not all be high on drugs.
