It is easy to go around in your life ignoring all that you really crave. All you have to do is avoid self-introspection and keep busy doing the routine stuff. Once in a while when you listen to a talk or read some self-help book, you get a twinge of regret for not taking action, you then write a diary entry( at least that’s what I do ) and then go back to no self-introspection and boring routines for a long time.
To get out of this haze of daily activities, you need another kind of routine. The routine of taking some time out to think and make some hard choices. You will not see any change in a day. nothing will happen in a week. But as the weeks turn into months and months into changing seasons, the climate in your mind will also change. The shedding of old limiting beliefs in mental Fall, shivering in unrelenting Winters caused by inexperience and self-doubt and growth of new ideas and sprouting of new leaves of prosperity in spring.
Next comes the plateau of summer where you introspect what is stopping you. It’s not the same old problem whose solution took all four seasons to assimilate in your life, but the next step. The step that will take you forward into an unknown but beautiful place where you never thought you can reach. And then in Fall, where you shed these beliefs and embrace the upcoming change.
This way, year after year of the mental cycle, you keep moving forward. And thus, grow in life to become what you were meant to be and reach where you never thought you ever will.
