Great article, could not agree more with it. However, efficiency, control[…] are not the only benefits from the routine.

In my opinion one of most important benefits is that routine enables you to be more spontaneous even if it sounds like the opposite, you get more freedom with regard to your time. It is the daily pressure, deadlines…which hamper your freedom when you have no clue about the structure of your day.

The time starts to belong to you rather than to a flow of random events.
