Dennis Butler almost committed the Same crime as Salvador Ramos

Dennis Butler in 2018

A shooting occurred at a graduation party near an apartment in Charleston, West Virginia. According to reports, Dennis Butler showed up in the neighborhood with an AR-15 and began shooting. If it hadn’t been for a woman who was a bystander intervening, this terrible act could have turned into a mass shooting similar to the one that occurred in Uvalde, Texas on May 24th, 2022.

Sources have not released the name of the bystander but have reported that she was on the scene with a legal concealed weapon. The woman shot Butler multiple times preventing him from killing children on the scene. Before the shooting Butler was already approached by law enforcement for speeding, later that night he arrived back in that area in front of the apartment complex and begin to fire shots into the crowd luckily there were no fatal casualties. The woman was in the right place at the right time and took action against the assailant killing him instantly.

According to court records, Dennis Butler has a long history with the law, with the most serious case he faces being in Kanawha County. When the witness failed to appear in court, the charges were withdrawn. There have been no reports on how Butler obtained the firearm, witnesses and other standby have cooperated with police, and no charges have been filed against the standby shooter. This woman took down a threat on her own without any official training, and she has no police training as well. She is simply a law-abiding individual who bravely intervened to avert a mass shooting in her community. Not only did she avoid a mass massacre, but she also spared families the agony that most people endure when a loved one is killed in a mass shooting. This woman should be recognized and praised for her bravery in safeguarding individuals in her community.
