I know from personal experience, that sometimes trying to complete a task at a certain time can feel harder than normal, and would likely take a longer period of time. However, research shows that some periods of time actually benefit according to the task one is attempting to complete. It can range from doing a certain thing in the morning to doing another in the night. Here are three tasks that benefit from a certain time range.

1. Writing

Best Time- Early in the morning

Research suggests that every one of us has a limited resource of willpower. When that willpower is gone, it’s gone. That’s why writing is best done early in the morning, as we have all our willpower at the start of the day. Also, creative activity in our brains is highest during and immediately after sleep. If you ever want to get more writing done, consider doing it in the morning instead of any other time (unless you already write in the morning).

2. Tweet

Best Time- Weekends

Regarding twitter, it is useful to tweet on the weekends, because engagement is higher by 17 percent. Tweeting during the weekends also results in higher click through rates, another benefit. If you want to get into specifics, tweeting at around 5 pm can result in more retweets, as they are highest during that time. Although it isn’t much of a difference compared to other times, it can be the factor between reaching 100 more people by getting that extra retweet.

3. Sending Emails

Best Times- Early mornings and weekends

Research shows that click rates and open rates regarding emails are actually highest in the morning, around 6 am. They are also highest during the weekends, compared to all the days of the week. So, if you are looking to send out an marketing email, a weekly blast, or something along those lines, it could be beneficial to consider doing it in the waking hours of the day or on the weekends.

As you can see from above, certain tasks do benefit from a time zone. It makes it easier for people to schedule their tasks, so that they can get to as many people as possible. Hopefully this can help you increase your productivity and reach a greater audience.
