Black Friday is less than a month away and already cybersecurity companies are announcing their offers. In the last month two renowned social networks, Facebook and Google+, experienced major data breaches leaving millions of users personal data exposed. This means only one thing: even the market giants aren’t safe and your privacy protection is up to you. While hackers are hacking the governments are governing, trying to kill net-neutrality in the USA, banning Twitch in China and don’t get me even started on the freedom of the press in Russia. Luckily, the good tech-guys provide us with a VPN technology, allowing any user to stay anonymous on the internet and bypass any restrictions.

Before reaching out for your wallet be sure to read this guide on safe shopping during Black Friday. In this tough economy price matters, so I’ve decided to research and rate the best VPN deals during Black Friday in hopes of helping some of you out. My comparison is based on five different criteria:

  • Server speed;
  • Security;
  • Reliability;
  • Geo-restrictions penetration;
  • Price.

The pros and cons of each VPN will be briefly discussed below but expect the highest ranked VPNs to be proficient in all criteria. Lets dive in.

  1. Surfshark

This new VPN came into the market like a wrecking ball. Bypassing all geo-restrictions that I know of, including the Great China Firewall, and providing a decent amount of high-speed servers it occupies a safe spot on top of the list.

Surfshark demonstrates ambition by providing support for unlimited devices, meaning you will not have to pay additionally if you want to set it up on multiple devices. The speeds are second-to-none, allowing 4K HD streaming and unlocking Netflix content for whichever region you choose. Providing diamond-strong encryption it will silently run in the background and repel any hack attempts while you’re on public wi-fi surfing the latitudes of the web. Last but not least, they are based in the British Virgin Islands where data retention laws are non-existent, which is enough of an argument to back up their no-logs policy.

Surfshark is offering a sizeable discount for this Black Friday, their two-year plan costs just 47.76$, which is only 1.99$ per month, making it the best VPN deal by a long shot.

2. NordVPN

It’s no surprise these fighters for the open internet are sitting just below the first place. NordVPN is constantly expanding their server list adding new high-speed ones to keep up with higher streaming demands. Netflix is doing its best to ban their IPs, but 24/7 customer support is ready to equip you with working servers and continue watching that TV show you just can’t live without. Their latest improvement is CyberSec feature, which provides ad-blocking as well as blacklisting potentially dangerous sites for increased protection. Based in Panama, another country with no data-retention laws, they follow a strict no logs policy.

NordVPN provides a competitive discount, going for 107.55$ for a three-year plan, only 2.99$ per month. Just check their ratings online, their service is as solid as it gets.

3. CyberGhostVPN

CyberGhost VPN has been here for a while providing us with a free upgradable version around which a happy community formed. Unfortunately, they’re putting to rest the free version on November 22 but leave behind a solid network of servers that are fit for bypassing geo-restrictions. You can set it up on 7 devices simultaneously and enjoy the anonymity. On rare occasions they experience a speed drop, so you might have to search for a faster server, but the big discount compensates for that.

CyberGhostVPN costs 3.5$ a month amounting to 84$ in total for a two-year plan.

4. ExpressVPN

Another major provider is giving out a decent Black Friday discount, offering a 15-month plan for 99.95$, which is 6.67$ a month. Excelling at every aforementioned criterion, unfortunately, it supports only 3 devices simultaneously, thus dropping a bit below its competitors.

It is my firm belief that the VPN market will continue to expand in the years to come, so grab one of these sweet deals and worry no more.
