I would like to know your thoughts on this metric for enterprise startups:
Number of customers/Number of Employees i.e. number of customers per employee.
The higher the ratio, the more scalable the technology and the product. I believe, it also generally points to the efficiency of the entire team and processes in place.
If it is low (less than 1), the startup better be doing something really, really hard that’s going to pay-off in the long-run.
