Perspective

If you read my last piece, you know my dryer bit the dust. Dying machinery is an annoying part of life, but even though it was financially inconvenient, it could have been much worse.
Thanks to my Flylady brainwashing, instead of a mountain of dirty clothes, I had one tiny load. And, lucky for me, the hubs made quick work of hanging a line.
I forgot how much I actually enjoy hanging my clothes outside.
I love having my face in the sun, looking out at the flowers and feeders, listening to the birds sing. I like how much fresher the clothes smell. I enjoy knowing I’m using less energy. I like that, if I keep hanging them outside, the elastic on my underwear won’t wear out as quickly.
TMI?
Anyway, I occurs to me that there are many times like that, when something seems like it’s going to be a big pain in the ass, but it ends up being a blessing.
Like when we got kicked out of that rental all those years ago.
It’s all about perspective.
And, speaking of perspective, I discovered the key to looking younger…If I take off my glasses before I look in the mirror, the lines and wrinkles aren’t noticeable at all.
