I struggle with parents who refuse to consider meds. I believe they should be the last resort, but for some kids (people), they are necessary.

I never really thought about the reason behind the denial, though, other than possible side effects/dependency fears. Your explanation makes sense. However, these parents have already had to accept their kids weren’t perfect when they agreed to allow special ed. services. Why not try something that could make all the difference in their children’s ability to learn? Ugh.
