You have a classic case. I can NOT believe it went undiagnosed until your freshman year. Unfortunately, it sounds like your parents would have gotten in the way of any help you might have received either way, but it might have made you feel better to know you weren’t just messed up. My heart goes out to you, and I’m very proud of you for working so hard to get the education you so rightly deserved.
