Don’t use Slack?
Christian Heilmann

I love Slack, but in the context of open communities - and working open have so far avoided starting (or migrating) community groups there. Isn’t Slack a silo? Even if we generously distributed invite links - it’s my understanding that we cannot stumble on these ‘open’ conversations and content via search engines. Maybe I’m wrong, would love to know.

We also need to protect the right to be anonymous for various reasons (a quick search shows that’s a bit of a struggle as well?) The Open Data community moved to Slack last year, and it’s a two -step process to get sign-up. I would love to hear how that’s going @robhawke . There are 900+ members there. Basically I would love to use Slack, but not as is - of course accessibility huge as well.
