Photomuseum Maastricht in Vrijthof opens its new exhibition — FAMOUS by Terry O’Neill curated by Feiko Koster today. It was eye-opening to see the beautiful back-stage photos in the 50s, 60s and 70s from Audrey Hepburn, Frank Sinatra, Rolling Stones, Elizabeth Taylor and many more! As well as special works from dutch DJ and digital artist Don Diablo!
Terry O’Neill was a well-known British photographer for his iconic portraits of celebrities, politicians, and other famous figures. He capture his subjects in unconventional settings and his work has been featured in numerous exhibitions. Terry O’Neill’s celebrity photography helped to define the visual culture of the 1960s and 70s and continues to be celebrated today.
It’s so powerful that the photos bring different time, space and stories in front of you and create a very unique dialogue when you stare at them!
