Yeah sach na woh sach” [Is this the truth or that one?]

In my dreams, today, I was flying a kite outside a window. The day was soggy, as the rain poured down from the clouds like a heap of splashes. I stood there recollecting the string of the kite when I saw a kid hopefully waiting for the kits to fall into his feet. A man, about the age of the the child’s father, was passing by. He too noticed the kite coming down. As I pulled the strings, the kite stuck into the wires of the nearby electricity pole. The man saw, noticed the kid desire for the kite and foolishly started climbing the electric poll.

On the other side of the road, from the window I stooped, slowly tring to pull down the kite from the wire. Shockingly, in my next sight what I see throws me aback. This man who was just passing by, climbed all the way to the end of the pole and with bare arms, reaching out for the kite. Before I could say a word, the body drops with a thud in the street, black and burned. Next moment, I rose from my bed gasping for air. It felt so real, for a sec, I couldn’t distinguish between the real and the sleep world.

It was then my mind wiggled with this questioned,” yeh sach na wo sach.” [ Is this truth or that?]

It wasn’t the first time I didn’t found answers. Earlier, few years back, during our school coaching for boards exam, we were taken for a outing in a spiritual camp. There was a humble looking monk conducting certain religious ceremony in the mid of a huge gathering. We sat there on the right side of the camp. When the ceremony ended, our headmaster, Mr. Richard Tamang, went up to the head monk and requested him to share few words with us. When he nodded and everyone stood up and went near the monk.

It was at this time he threw two biggest questions of my life. I can hear it sometimes when I close my eyes. He said, with great campassion, “ Child, do you realise who you are and the purpose purpose of your life? ”

That was it. My head went in all directions. My thoughts suddenly turned all speghetti. I pondered into this question for a very long period and then eventually when I couldn’t find the answer, it vanished.

Three years passed by. My dad had just passed away at our home. It was again I went into a inner self in discovery of the answer to this question. I search rigorously through various books, discover various answers but none that suited my wisdom, my intellect.

Scrolling one day, I found a yogi, Sadhguru, telling that that there was no purpose in life. His argument was that if there were any purpose, as soon the purpose gets over the existence is fulfilled and there is no use of living anymore. Somehow, this argument left me a little satisfied. But what now? If there is no purpose, what do I do with my life? Turned into a ascetic? Discover the undiscovered or look for more better answer?

This time it too passed away like the previous instance when I was in my coaching. Without any hesitation, I still went on researching many spiritual leaders and their saying untill today, morning, when I discovered a Vedanta monk. He was giving the answer to my first question which the head monk had asked many years ago. “Who are you?”

He went on like this. All the three dimensions a person experience, Dream, Awake and Deep sleep. So the question - who am I? Am I the person in my sleep or am I the person when I am awake? The third part is pure consciousness because it is the only time we are unaware of our self( we shall discuss this in next blog). He tells to the crowd, Aham Brahmasmi which means I am the ultimate reality. It is you who was in sleep. It is you who is awake. It is you who experience deep sleep. So, “Na yeh Sach nah Woh Sach, par tum hi Sach.”[ Neither sleep is the truth nor this world is where you live with all your ginormous accumulations of wealth, you are the ultimate truth. Only you are the ultimate truth]

But his doesn’t answer my question you say. Then who am I? You are just a ray of consciousness from whole spectrum of pure consciousness. Imagine light falling from a tiny hole. That is you right now. And your conciseness is the whole light spectrum present in the universe.

It is now that you know you’re the consciousness, you say what is God then? Is he too the consciousness? Am I God? Yes. In a certain way. The one you call God is nothing but a source of creation. And the ultimate source of energy and consciousness around the universe or maybe beyond. But are you God if you’re the consciousness? Can you reach it? Let me answer this with a simple illustration.

Suppose you eat a banana in the morning. The banana goes into your mouth all the way to your stomach and then you manifest it to yourself. Is this less than any sort of creation you see around? Over a course of few hour the banana turns into a human being. This is no less than a miracle. There in many ways you are the creator an d the creation and your ultimate goal is to reach the state of pure consciousness where you see things as they are. Reality. Dream. Deep Sleep.

The process? Dhyana.[Intense meditation] and leading a righteously life, only then you will be awakened/enlightened/ attain Moksha/ Salvation.

Untill then. Life right, Do Right and let life blossom in you. Peace.
