Just outside of Orlando is a charming little town with a festive atmosphere. Sounding more like a fictional town in a Hallmark movie: Christmas, Florida is a small community of only 1,300 people, and it is full of Holiday cheer year-round.

How it was named: This small community is home to Fort Christmas Historical Park, founded during the Second Seminole War. Back in 1837, on December 25th, 2,000 Army Soldiers arrived in this area and began the building of this fort. They named the Fort for the day of their arrival, Fort Christmas. You can visit Fort Christmas Historical Park to see artifacts and exhibits and learn more about its role in the Second Seminole War.
