#MusicMemories: Time Travel Day 9

Keeping Up

My poor dear children are subject to the whims of my iTunes in the car. For the most part, I have very little sympathy for their complaints, since the driver is boss.

But, I see their point.

So, every once in a while, I try to jump online, or open my ears to what’s going on in the world of present-day music.

I don’t bother listening to the radio. Obviously.

“Lonely Town” is a great song. I downloaded it last year, in advance of one of our road trips — and by request, when I was told that there’d be a revolt if I didn’t get anything new for the ride. They knew who Brandon Flowers was, they liked The Killers. It was approved.

Although my daughter still prefers to sit in the back seat and “pray to Beyonce” as I’m simultaneously driving too fast while singing/car dancing.

Philistine.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?
