#TinyChallenges: The April No-Spend

Bell for Lunch

Definitely one of the things I’ve learned through this whole challenge is that I really like the sandwiches I make for myself.

I’m a super picky eater, and I know I drive people crazy with all my food limitations and requests. I’m one of those customers in the cafeteria at work who has a “reputation”. They see me coming, whip out the paper and pen, and just start writing what they already know I’ll have. Sometimes I’ll get a smartass, “Are you sure you don’t want mayo?”

Haha. Very funny. I’m not eating that mushy crap.

Since I haven’t been able to purchase any food in the cafe this month, I’ve been bringing in my own. And I’ve gotten quite creative. Sometimes I’ll make myself a panini with my George Foreman the night before, and then reheat. Today I’ve smooshed down a really yummy, meat-filled sub.

I also brought in some banana pudding. Because it just sounded really good.

I’ve been eating salads everyday. I know, I hope you were sitting down for that statement too. But I can’t buy chips out of the vending machine, so I had to find something else crunchy to go down with the sandwiches.

As always, strictly water with my meals. I’m a water person.

I truly hope I can keep this part up. I’ve already accepted I might slip into some old bad habits — though, I hope not. I feel like I’ve come so far. But I do feel lighter, healthier. I’ve been sleeping more, and having better dreams.

Last night I dreamt about chicken nuggets.
