The relationship of high risk investment and the internet money (cryptocurrency) has always been rocky. Initial coin offerings iCO offered rudimentary security features payment reliant on various blockchains. This included obvious security issues surrounding currency transfer and security data storage (Like smart contract addresses).

Investors are rightly cautions about handing over fiat currency to ICO’s in the age of high-profile cyber security thefts.ICO’s are the latest investment trend for investors and many investors are making their way towards the world of cryptocurrency. They should know about some factors that may affect the security of their investment.

The fact that ICO’s often not focused on end-to-end-security,in end-to end-security all cryptographic operations like encryption and decryption , signature creation and signature validation are entirely performed on the blockchain.

This means that both the ICO owner and the corresponding investors have to maintain, protect and correctly use all provided guidelines, private and public keys and security tokens (like smart contracts) on their respective side. Experience, however, clearly demonstrates that many users do not have the knowledge required for this. Moreover, the specific conditions of end-to-end-security often poorly fit into the organisational structure of ICO services.
