Significant amount of paperwork and documentation is involved in any legal processes and court cases. It is required for the petitioners, litigants and legal practitioners to draft various documents, review and sign them before presenting them to the court. The court also requires that you, as the petitioner should follow certain guidelines if you want them to accept the paperwork and start the hearing.

If any of these documents aren’t filed in the right writ petition format of Supreme Court or on the right type of paper, you would have to perforce file everything all over again. This can become extremely tedious, time-consuming and in most cases extremely expensive to handle. Not to forget, it also causes huge delay in the legal process.

What is a writ for certiorari?

This writ is issued by superior courts to inferior courts such as in the tribunal or public authority. The writ for certiorari asks the lower courts to provide the necessary documents and records of legal proceedings to the superior court for further review. In the United States, this is generally used by the Supreme Court to verify the judgments passed by the lower courts. This is filed to review cases for legal errors and lapses, in situations when there isn’t any option for appeals.

Types of stationery required for the writ

It is understood that the writ should be presented in a particular form in the course of the filing process. Also, it is not possible without any expert to know about the regulations involved in this legal process. As per the United States Supreme Court Rule 33(1)©, the following things should be maintained strictly otherwise it will get cancelled:
