Horror causes a physiological reaction, such as an elevated heartbeat, through the use of fear and shocking one’s audiences. It leaves you biting your nails and mind extra attentive. As we know there are web series that show the ghosts in the first scene itself but are not really effective, but the web series that take you to the journey with the character itself from the very beginning and scare you with a minute but sudden bang is effective. Its too creepy but we still enjoy it. Horror is one genre where the phrase “less is more” is almost always gospel truth.

Horror can also combine with the fantasy, supernatural, or thriller genres. So combining all these here a list of web series that might haunt you once you see them and you might like them.

Queer Ghost Hunters

The series is basically ghost hunting where the people in the series venture into the past, catch up with LGBTQ people of decades or centuries ago and have a chat with them about their lives. Imagine what hidden historical gems might be discovered, what amazing contributions uncovered and what pointed realities unearthed.

The series tracks the adventures of the Stonewall Columbus Queer Ghost hunters in Ohio, “the first known group of its kind,” according to Maddux. The group selects sites that show “evidence of queer people having been there,” Maddux explained, “and they do research before heading out to these places.” Along with the quest for poltergeists, there’s also LGBTQ history weaved throughout the series. It came up with 2 seasons in 2016 and 2017respectively.

Ghost Ghirls
This is a comedy web series following the tricks of two best friends, Heidi and Angelica, who work as paranormal investigators. Each episode details the bumbling adventures of the hilarious duo as they attempt to solve otherworldly cases while not tripping over themselves in the process. The show was created, written, produced and starred in by Maria Blasucci and Amanda Lund. Jeremy Konner co-created, co-wrote and directed all episodes. The web series was aired in 2013.

Paranormal Zone TV — Do you believe web series

This show includes strange tales of the supernatural that will take you to the edge of reason and beyond. Exploring the darker regions, you may find yourself becoming convinced that things are not what they seem, and indeed, are much more sinister and scary than you ever thought possible. The series is shown interviewing authors, writers, TV personalities, survivors of the paranormal, owners of real haunted houses, real ghost stories, unexplained mysteries, etc just about anything paranormal.

The Hunted

As one of the longest-running horror web series out there. Although its an old web series from 2ooo which is still in the top list of must-watch horror web series. “The Hunted” describes itself as “Buffy meets Cops.” Focusing on a group of vampire slayers, this group comes together to fight off the rest of the vampires in their world. Their biggest problem is that the usual methods of killing vampires that stake and burning, don’t work as well as they used to. Blending comedy, horror, and pretty decent special effects, this series is one to look into. Thus, making it as most often watched web series.

No Through Road
If you are looking for the true incident or found footage web series or series, this is the series for you. The premise of this series is that its videos are released footage from the camera of one of four teenagers who was found dead in a car nearby an abandoned farm. The shocking ending of the first episode leaves you feeling unsettled, and yet wanting to know more of what happened to these kids. It’s a pretty cool and interesting web series that seamlessly weaves into a found footage film. It’s British, like me, and it’s totally free to watch on YouTube.
