Go doesn’t require programmers to add semi colons but the compiler itself adds semicolons at the end of line this is the reason

`func something()

{

}`

this would be a syntax error because the compiler would add semi colon at the end of (), so we are required to do

func something(){

}.

I had come across this a long time after I started with Go, but it is amazing! as you rightly said, it combines the best parts of the languages :)
