It’s freezing in San Francisco…
I can remember the first day after I stepped off of the plane at SFO with a hat on and a fleece jacket. I was sweating! I thought the weather was beautiful here, coming from 5 degree Cleveland that morning. It was about 56–60 degrees, sunny, and I almost couldn’t wait to change into shorts and flip flops. For the first two weeks I had the hardest time remembering that it was STILL January and STILL technically winter. I even tried to convince my dad to take my winter coat back home with him, but I’m so thankful I kept it because San Francisco started to feel a lot like Cleveland in the spring the last two or three weeks.
Fast forward about 5 weeks now that I’m completely adjusted to the San Francisco weather. I wear a jacket to work every single day with a tshirt underneath in case I get warm. By the time I’m waiting for the bus to go home, it’s about 54 degrees and I’m shivering! You know how 54 degrees feels in the Spring vs how 54 degrees feels in the fall? It feels like 54 degrees in the fall. It’s even worse when it gets foggy. I thought people were over exaggerating about the weather here, but it’s freezing. I know it’s not so bad compared to -5 in northeast Ohio last week, however, I absolutely can’t wait until summer.
