EGO or Knowledge

Everyone of us might have faced this situation when we face the truth that we don't know a lot of things that our colleagues know. At a time like this when we have to learn something from a person who is our same age we all face the same trouble, Ego. Our ego stops us to believe that we cannot know everything and hinders our learning.

At a time like this what would you do? 
-let go of the topic and leave it for later study.
-leave your current affairs and start learning it by your own even when its gonna take a long time that way.
- or, just be a learner and let your colleague teach you the concept therefore saving a lot of time and using it for being more productive.

Here the question is- what is important?
-Knowledge or
-ego.

This situation is natural and everybody passes through this. Its very natural for our ego to interfere with our learning. As tempting as it feels to discard the other persons knowledge and giving up to our ego, but we have the power to choose whats important.
