Definition of ‘Decision’ is never defined in our lives.

Official definition of ‘Decision’ decision dɪˈsɪʒ(ə)n/noun
a conclusion or resolution reached after consideration.
“I’ll make the decision on my own”

Do you remember the best decision you have ever made in your life?
If Yes. Why do you think so?

Let me guess few response running in your mind right now?
- Oh that one, yes.
- That was good, oh! No, not that.

Sometimes even if the outcome was not as we expected, you would just consider it as the best you could come up with, and move on. You know why you do that?

Few might feel good and some would even want to kill me for telling this truth. Every decisions you made in your life was just one of the hundreds of possibilities. There are many reasons for doing so.

  • Limited knowledge about the situation.
  • You don’t want to think more about it.
  • May be you just wanna get over with it.
There is no big or small and no right or wrong decisions. Its just one step forward.

What big decision did he ever make in his life? Why is he even thinking about this?
Its 3.25pm now and I already made more than 200 decisions from morning. Don’t be surprised, your number might be more than mine. How?

We make decisions every single second of our lives.

Welcome to my stupid brain.
Today: 30th July 2016 — Saturday
5.30am: Should i get up right now? Oh! no office today, Its raining!
let me sleep for some more time.
No, i need to hit the Gym.
Should i just jog to my Gym?
No, I need to weight train, let me take my bike.

You see that? I had hundreds of questions before even getting out of my bed.
Why talk about me, lets talk about you. You need a real time example?
I can tell you what was the last decision you made just now.
Oh Yes, You decided to read this, and that’s why you are on this line right now. Goccha!

Now lets get to the point. As i mentioned in my previous blog. How my life changed just after clicking ‘I’m interested’ button on a website. Here are few funny decisions I’ve made till today.

  1. School days: Less friends, study more, be a good boy.
  2. Class 11: Study less, more friends, enjoy.
  3. After class 12: College is more important, who cares about the branch.
  4. Engineering: College is not just about academics. You have so much more to do. (My college professors still don’t agree with me on this)
  5. After Engineering: No MNCs, I prefer startups.
  6. Now: It’s not just everyday life, I wanna live everyday.

What if i tell you, if just one of the above was different, may be my life would have been different, I don’t know if that would been better or worst, but I am sure that it would have been different.

I started to strongly believe in Butterfly effect.
In chaos theory, the butterfly effect is the sensitive dependence on initial conditions in which a small change in one state of a deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state.

Any minute of our life can cause a big diversion. Believe me, for few of you that can be today or may be tomorrow, tick tick…
You know the best thing about this? Not just our decisions. Others can also influence our diversion point. May be a friend, girlfriend or even some random person on the road. Its just a possibility. Sometimes people misunderstand that the life goes on, I will switch to autopilot mode. No, life don’t work that way.

There are also few others drive their life, their own style.

If you still regret about few decisions you have made in the past, its time to take just one more decision right now, forget about it. You are doing great with your life already. You have to make many more decisions all your life. Go kill it.
