Unlocking the power of silence and knowledge in a world of anger and ignorance.

Anger and envy are born of ignorance, while silence and austerity stem from wisdom. A knowledgeable person finds joy in giving happiness to others, whereas an ignorant person seeks happiness by tormenting others, causing pain, and obstructing their path.

Wisdom and silence are always constructive and forward-looking, whereas anger and ignorance are destructive and short-sighted. A wise person acts for the welfare and ultimate good, while an ignorant person is consumed by self-interest and harm to others.

Even if desired, the pursuit of virtue is challenging for the uneducated. Knowledge is the accumulated merit of past lives, while ignorance is a swirling mass of accumulated sins.

Fragrance can never emanate from foul odour, and foul odour can never dissipate fragrance. Anger and silence are like night and day. In terms of character, virtue, and attainability, they are opposite.

In the absence of excellence in thought and action, a person’s life dignity turns to dust as time passes. The renunciant, the ascetic, and the seeker of the ultimate truth remain memorable and venerable even after leaving this world.

On the other hand, the one who indulges in worldly pleasures, power, or status continues to live, moment by moment, in a state of perpetual death.

The intense fire of anger can destroy the kingdom of a weak person’s intellect and discernment. In contrast, silence is a divine weapon to conquer anger and an unparalleled shield of intellect and discernment. When anger arises, the lofty virtues of love, beauty, noble thoughts, tenderness, affection, belongingness, and joy permanently depart from a person.

Conversely, the tree of silence bears fruits of peace and happiness, while the tree of anger bears fruits of destruction and regret. We must decide whether to embrace destruction or creation. Our choice will determine the course of our lives.
