“Another important Scrum development weak point for businesses is its fundamental unpredictability.” What leads you to this conclusion? It is a widely spread myth that with Scrum you should not or even must not have a plan.

Let me put it this way: The fine art of release planning is often neglected in Scrum projects, I’ll admit. But it is of the utmost importance for better prioritizations and possible adaptations of the team’s work.

And if your velocity-based long-term estimates are “shots in the dark”, as you put it, you’re doing something wrong. Not sure what, but the team velocity to be unpredictibale is not a law of nature.

Scrum-based development usually gives you a far higher, far more precise predictability that waterfall projects.

On top of that, there are so many other statements in your text that give me the impression that (and forgive me for being blunt here) you did not catch the spirit of Scrum and of many Scrum practices.

You approach Scrum with a waterfall mindset, and that approach is always doomed.
