Ivana Knezevic ,

Why read?

Tons of reasons, right now in the middle of “Shantaram.” I have already come up with so many excellent reasons, I’d be way to tired to recant.

Genuine love of a character, understanding the way they would think . Learning first hand the conscience of a man in great detail.

And Shantaram , Oh my the conscience he displays, being branded a criminal , amongst new people not knowing his past , hes a hero, fun loving especially with Prabaker.( Prabaker , what a hoot! )In the same respect, loyal, loving and entertaining .

They made me laugh and cry and appreciate cultures and things we take for granted everyday.

Over- underpants ?

What Shantaram. was prior isn’t who he is deep within . I thought that in the Village scene .

When Prabaker’s father touched his shoulder and the depth of feeling he expressed, that was so touching.

Love can heal any sin. Had he been born into a different family who knows? At this point I’m not sure that lack of love caused his trials in life. Many reasons cause journey into darkness. Some know how to turn a light on before trials begin.

I do believe he felt a rough and calloused hand touch of a farmers hand , and it melted a calloused heart. And loneliness was healed by love of another.

What beautiful people he encountered( some nasty interesting one’s also.)

His description of Prabakers mom was another reason I love to read. I could never express feelings so clear. A great Author draws you in, and keeps you there on every page wanting more.

And while I kept wondering why this title? As i discovered the reason, I was pleasantly surprised and holy hell, I loved this reason.

He was a good man that had a bad break.

Well off to more reasons WHY READ. At least until my eyes cant stay open any longer lol.

And. BTW ,that library you show , impressive!
